Beauty is a Beast

Beauty is a beast who never sleeps
But searches for a potion to make her whole again.
Though there have been many princes,
Her rotten luck kept on hittin ;
they all turned into frogs with true loves first kiss.
Oh how Beauty weeps,
For every life she enters is poisoned,
and the beast inside keeps raging,
so she ripped out her heart and put it in a box.
She walked out to the Ocean,
begging it’s tide to have mercy.
she cried as she was swept under it’s power.
But not even the waters could stop her breathing
the beast inside wouldn’t let her die. so she grew a fin and tail and
she swam for days before she went back to the sand.
If she couldn’t die she decided she would find a hole and hide.
Her fins and tail melted away and she walked  from the sea naked and cold.
She stumbled and fell into a hole in the ground and as she plummeted she prayed for this to be the end.
Beauty landed with a 'thud’, at the feet of a man who was holding a white rabbit. she didn’t dare utter a word,
but in her head she questioned ‘what is this place?’
With a deep husky voice the man answered “you’ve come home, my love.”
He leaned in for a soft kiss of her lips, and helped her up to her feet.
“Do I know you?” she squeaked
The man smiled and held tight to her hands.
“My sweet Beauty, I am your Lover and Friend. I worship your body and cherish your mind. Your eyes haunt my dreams and my heart pleads with me to hold you. I am the man who needs you.”
Beauty felt something stir within her, “so you are my prince?”
The man, once again, answered
“If you think me a prince, I will gladly allow it. But I am a poor and simple type of man with no jewels or value. The day I made you my wife I became rich and satisfied. The golden glow of a woman is more than enough for me.”
Beauty’s skin began to glow and the beast inside began to die. she reached inside her box and pulled out her heart.
The man took it into his hands, gave it a kiss, and thrust it back into her chest.
He carried his Beauty to his humble abode, laid her down by the fire, pulled her tightly in his arms.
He whispered, “My Beauty, Welcome home.”
