Listen writers, your time is near

There’s not much time left, so let me be clear

the world is in need of people like you

ones who can find beauty through and through

we’re a dying race

we gotta pick up the pace

everyday is precious there’s no time to waste

so take that pencil dripping with your thoughts

and draw a place where greediness is not

writing it is easy

reading is too plain

remembering your poetry can bring to you a name

that people think about when they’re down low

your words can make a difference, and bring them hope

listen to me, we can do it right

and even if we fail, it’s what we had in sight

building up the courage

tearing down the mean

powerful poets will be those to remain
