Babs

They said she is gone, I did not believe,
To painful the words for my mind to conceive.
I walked behind horses, followed by masses,
Now all I have left in my hand are your ashes.
I cannot accept it; I know it is fate,
So I write down these words to open the gate.
For the tears have to flow, and the wound it must heal,
I have to embrace in just how I feel.
Rejoice in the joy that you were like no other,
Alive in my mind, my beautiful mother.
