the Sun bowed

The people looked from left to right
regretting their behavior
Enemies held hands so tight
hoping for a Savior

As forests burned and seas boiled dry
a total devastation
Enormity so vast and wide
effecting every nation

Though tears they held their hands up high
they promised to be giving
no man could pay the price required
to buy a thing called living

The noble stood all clothed in rags
and held the poorest hand
I’m sorry I was greedy
I didn’t need your land

And as the final sun to set,
bowed down in all its glory
the people finally saw the cost
of how they wrote their story
