Eternal Winter

It’s so cold
I’m frozen from the inside out
I see the warmth embrace all others
While I remain
Drownding in the bitter winter
I yearn to feel the sun
Cascading over my spotted cheeks
Instead of this eternal winter
Freezing my freckles away
Turning them from kisses
Bestowed by the angels
To bites that are taken by the frost
I want to smile and frolic as others do
Feel the grass tickle my toes
Instead of having them frozen
In the ever persistant snow
All I have to do is thaw this frozen heart
Allow the blood to flow
Pulling my feelings along with it
And I will be set free
These blocks of ice are my safety
Traping me in, keeping them out
Assistively killing me
As I wait for the Sun to save me
