Him and His Love

You know who you are...

For once in decades,
I feel he loves me,
So I will sit here still and wait,
As his warmth does surround me,
I will give into embrace.

He will let me,
Be his shadow,
Let me follow him all day,
And then later he will take me,
And together we will lay.

My endless nightmares,
He will ease them,
As he holds me while I sleep,
My dark angels and pale demons,
With love and care he’ll bury deep.

My hands so cold and trembling,
Will stop shivering at once,
As he kisses them,
And holds them,
It will happen at a glance.

When pure life is source of killing,
He will fight against his will,
Just to save me,
And to love me,
With our children on their way.

Later on,
He’ll hold my body,
In it’s terrifying state,
But the love that he is giving,
Will take all the pain away.

He will also hold our children,
With that same,
Unchanging love,
With his eyes forever giving,
He will be our saviour dad.

As they grow,
We’ll be together,
Helping them through wrong and right,
Showing them, and sharing,
That clear wisdom from their dad.

And when time comes,
We’ll give them freedom,
To find their own, precious love,
So someone holds them, and needs them,
And fights for their peace at heart.

Me and him shall die together,
As our journey comes to end,
We’re to pass,
The death we’re given,
Holding hands as we do tend.

Except all of this is fiction,
Nothing’s perfect in this world,
Even though,
I do still love him,
He loves her as I’ve been told.

So he let’s her be his shadow,
And he warms her freezing hands,
And he kisses her
And loves her,
He shall marry her, his chance!

Funny,
I can see their children,
Playing, just like I saw ours,
I can see them older even,
Following their daddy’s path.

Yes, and they both would be dying,
On the same, bright,
Sunny day,
Holding hands as we were ought to,
But we never got the chance.

And although,
He said he loved me,
That was in the misty past,
Now, I’ll let him just be happy,
At least one would be at last.
