wolf smile

an unraveling weave

I’d bite your face off with my lupine smile
lick away the blood from the delusion you pray to,
that uneasy vagrancy, that emotionally homeless attitude
rests with the clumps of my resolve under your claws,

your delectable fist was once made from a weak glass
the sword of dire truth hides behinds loves foibles,
I’m clinging on to the slippery ledge of your sex appeal
and you the ground below are spitting back my sweat,

at first glance it appears that your devilish dark sexuality
chaffs out wisps of a consideration of mine and of mind,
but you confuse it with chivalry, a tenet for a hopeful knight
just as hanging baskets your arms and medals drape my neck,

the mirror is dead, in the dark our eyes adjust and bloom
with the texture of cheap chocolate melting with a desired purpose,
your kisses pulse down my spine to the crease of my soul
all the universe is reflected in our stained glass eyes,

how much more can we take, our atoms are vibrating
the vacant expression of my tolerance was their cohesion,
my side shifting rant, my tossed rune into sand that’s been sifted
as my war head spins out of control dear lord I need a drink,

now your stance a demure grace, an axe wielding fiend
an executioner in designer spectacles, no full face mask or hood,
you don’t even have the courtesy to look away for sanctuary
you’ve made me a patchwork memory, an unraveling weave,
