All I want is nothing more
than to see what’s behind that golden door.
Is there a God who loves and forgives
or just a black hole in which I must live?
To leave this place once and for all
to give me some space so I can grow tall.
Across the horizon and into the sky
I’d build my own wings and learn how to fly.
I pray if I fall that someone will catch me,
afraid that I’d die with a heart so empty.
