Glimpses inside
Darkness surrounded me
and I felt nothing
and that was the reality
everything was moving around me
and none of it mattered
I wondered if this is what
death would feel like
to be driving and staying in
the same spot for eternity
just as I questioned all of
the worlds great questions
death raced past me
as if some greater end lie elsewhere
and then it was gone
almost as fast as it came
all of it, and I weakly
walked up the stairs feeling
all my great brushes past death
lingering inside, limiting
holding together the body
that I will live through for
a lifetime and I laid
my head down to dream -
at last
