Spring, Will You Wait for Me?

The dreadful weather today

She comes here often.
Sirens sound in the distance.
Do you see it now!
Golden flicker of light;
brief sporadic and
from every direction.
encompass the limbs,
of no one.
Sleep now– wake to dream.
old song–
long stories.

Silk fingertips graze
moist lips,
tendrils ensnared;
a cocksure grip.
Strong gentle tug,
tickles  cranium.
Penetrates through
outermost membranes.
O tell me how?!
These lashes link–
lay so lazily together.
Is it still night?
Golden sparks of light;
We smile now;
behind lids of closed eyes.
Open-close-inhale –exhale
soft, heavy repetition;
Open to
a smoky reflection;
Inhale,
her gardenias air.
