Carved Into My Wrist

My eyes grow tired
from staring into the dark
waiting for you to disappear
to stop trying to tell me
every thing’s okay when it’s not
there you lie, dead on my floor
you’ve drowned in the blood
drawn from the veins in my wrist
to hide the pain, the shame, the sorrow

Please dont wake up
I wish you were gone
slit by the blade of my knife
your name carved into my wrist
the blood runs down my hand
stains the floor scarlet red
waiting for you to disappear
desiring you to be dead

clear out of my way
gun held to my head
just continuing to bleed
I lie lifeless in bed
Ive created a path
through my troublesome memory
with a speeding silver bullet
it didnt hurt; I swear

My veins are draining
forming a deep red puddle
as I walk toward the light
you try to bring me back
but you’ve been erased from my sight
maybe death will be fun
no reason to fight
