Melancholy Queen

By Angela Hearn

A Queen Melancholy and dying inside,
no words, no words, no words to discribe.
Falling and falling and falling apart,
no way to stop the blades to the heart.
Mind screaming and screaming please dull the pain,
the heart can’t endure, rapid beatings insaine.
Unleashed inside a catastrophic mistake,
twas better blind than to violently wake.
Spirits now broken a shell of what was,
joy once held now lay dead as the dust.
Trying so hard to keep it together,
why wasn’t you willing to storm the weather?
So many secrets why’d her mind wake,
melancholy Queen, your eyes mistake.
Before you believed, you were happy and free,
believing the truth just couldn’t be.
twas hard to learn that life’s not fair,
had trust for a moment but he didn’t care.
Now tears fall and stain your face,
reality shattered heart lay in waste.
But you are a Queen,
she’s a bitch at your feet,
beggin for scraps, stealing something to eat.
Your king like a dog,
fell for the bones in the trash,
And violently your unity crashed.
Almost ran Melancholy Queen,
But you are strong, and you can be mean.
As a Queen you rise and rise,
banished the bitch with snakes for eyes.
And as for the king, he’s lucky to Breath,
Breaking loyalty, bringing a Queen to her knees.
