Breathless

Breathless:
Learn to hide your feelings from the world because when push comes to shove no one cares.
Physical and metal scars are unexplainable like Venus and Mars. Planets we have never been to but know they exist. Pain is felt, bodies filled with bruises and welts. Abusive family members and lovers, if they love them so much why would they want to hurt each other... To speak is one thing yet to be heard is another.
I choose to hold my breath and suffocate because you do not care to hear me, you can not see what’s wrong with me. I’d rather sit here underneath a living tree so I can breathe, compose my thoughts and remind myself that no one cares.

Don’t pity me, don’t comfort me for I will survive and the last thing I want to do is cry. I am strong and not weak...

The fresh air against my skin, the silence of the night, the cold breeze to me is comforting. To have a heart so big you become heartless because when you love you give all that you are... you’ll give everything, even your last breath.

So don’t let them in, learn to be silent and listen to those who don’t clap when you win. Pay attention to those who encourage you to sin. Watch those who look at you in agony and grin.
