Drowning In A Sea Of Confusion

This is a poem I found. My mom made it, and it's amazingly, talentedly written. Now I know where I got my love for poetry....

Drowning in a sea of confusion,
Hoping it’s not just an illusion.
Flat on my back, looking up to the sky,
Floored again, I wonder why.
Drowning in a sea of confusion,
Emotions pierced by a beautiful
intrusion.
Your wonderful face, the stuff of
dreams,
Almost to touch, seemed so real.
Drowning in a sea of confusion,
Sense of reality I am losing.
That generous smile, warm and kind,
Log-fire stove, fills my mind.
Drowning in a sea of confusion,
Battered feelings, covered in bruising.
Precious angel, delicate and small,
To hurt like that, so unforgivable.
Floating in a sea of confusion,
Towards the shore I am moving.
Making sense of things, I have seen.
Can’t say the words, of what I mean.
Leaving that sea of confusion,
Broken heart and mind have an illusion.
Words unsaid, feelings remain,
Push to the back, carry on the same.
Living life with lonely emptiness,
Hidden feelings never expressed.
Thinking back, to the illusion,
Wishing I was deep in confusion.

I love my mom... She is awesome... And a great poet, too.
