The family
"I met Charles in San Fransisco in late 1967 he said he had just got out of prison"
He told me he had a place in Los Angeles called the Spahn ranch & he has women that will make love to me if i join his family
He said we are all one & love
I was promised heaven
I went & he later called us his family
& I stayed there from that time
As approaching the ranch I hear a new sound I have never heard it was the Beatles new white album
The best sound I’ve ever heard
There was 32 adults & 7 children
They were all what you call hippies
It was all love & life
The first hour I was there a young girl name Susan Atkins, introduced me to her as sexy sadie, intrigued me the most she said to call her Sadie
That night we had made love by a creek known to the family
Underneath a rock
Like a cave
We later all took a picture underneath this rock
To me this was great, my first taste of freedom I felt wanted & welcomed
I felt like I was apart of a family.....
After the first month there I was already taking a lot of drugs given to us by Charlie
LSD it was called
We were gavin this 3 times a month
We would role play, dance, & love
Have a orgy with the family
It all just felt right
Everybody kissed everybody
Charlie later convinced us he was Jesus & the devil all wrapped into one
Everyone seemed under a spell when this man spoke
It always crossed my mind if this was the right thing to do.....

New Year’s Eve 1968
Charlie had a vision that there was going to be a race war called helter Skelter
Let me remind you the Beatles white album is always playing
He told us all it was Armageddon that the Death Valley holds us till the war is over
We were in the book of revelation
This were to unfold soon
To go in a bottomless pit he says when we enter Death Valley
I was skeptic though I believed
I started to notice odd behavior with Charlie & the family
I believe the drugs were altering there mind for the worse
We continued to do our thing & I tried to ignore the oddness
I remember when Charlie told me to burn all my bridges & to leave my whole life behind, that I can do what I want to do, cause I’m strong in my mind
“Everybody says your no good

He grabbed my face & said its all in the eyes of a dreamer it’s all in the eyes of a man & you are the man
I started to question my very own mind
Around a fire one late night with all of the family
A moment of real life

Then Charlie screamed “The valley of death and I’ll find you now is when on a sunshine beam”
Now With everyone laughing, whistling singing “So bring all the young perfection for there us shall surely be no clothing, tears, or hunger you can see you can see you can be”
It was a real time to be alive
August 7th 1969
Charlie seems really upset, what he visioned & wanted was not happening
August 8th 1969
Charlie realized he had to start helter Skelter
Charlie sent out Tex Watson, Pat Krenwinkle, Susan Atkins and Linda Kasabian got in a 1959 Ford, and drove to the house on Cielo drive
Before they left he said "if your going to do something do it witchy"
That night they brutally killed pregnant Sharon Tate with 4 other people

Linda was on watch she did not kill anyone
August 9th 1969
The next night, six Family members Leslie Van Houten, Steve “Clem” Grogan, and the four from the previous night rode out on Manson’s orders.
Displeased by the panic of the victims at Cielo Drive, Manson accompanied the six, “to show them how to do it.”
According to Atkins and Kasabian, Manson disappeared up the driveway and returned to say he had tied up the house’s occupants
He then sent Watson up with Krenwinkel and Van Houten
They had killed the labiancas
So here I was in shock with nothing at all no clothes, no money, no food there was no peace & love & hippies just violence now
The music has stopped now
So I fled with them to Death Valley at barker ranch
I was very nervous at the time
Charlie reminded me of a crazy killer
I did not know what to do
We hid at the barker ranch until October 10th we were raided by police & the 12th of 1969
I later was released for no evidence of the crimes I went into hiding never looked back ever since
They were all convicted later on
Never spoke with anyone again
We had something beautiful destroyed by ego
The last I remember Charlie saying to me before the raid was
“One in one thought”
“Peace”
Never forget
“Stop trying or your gunna play crying”
It means to stop trying so hard to live to live your life as nothing & if you don’t you will play crying “the game”
