Friends
Like the shining sun lights up the sky,
Friends help light the path to get by.
Like the moon shows its face all through the night,
Friends show their love with all their might.
When tragedy comes and seems to destroy,
Friends always seem to bring a little joy.
When sadness appears and gets you down with its ways,
Friends show up and brighten your days.
If you ever need someone special to talk to,
Friends will always be there for you.
In the beginning, when God was creating,
He saw that Adam, who was made of dust,
Needed just a certain thing to make his life complete.
So He created a person for Adam who his heart would mend
And that one special person was a friend.
