Treason

As i look around at the shattered and wounded glass stuck deep in the veins of my skin
i look around at the wreckage and realize i am more than hurt within.
i have clearly lost this war
noone has won this victory, death, dispair and bloody gore
for though the enemy was once a friend not foe
who turned there back on friendship said it were to be no more.
A act of treason was the sentence given above the shoulders, the call of violence a seamless and quick beheading is in order.
torn and tattered i am carried amongst the lords, ladies and the poor looking at me with dead eyes, hollow sly grin
bloody, lifeless i know my time has come to and end. what a wicked ending for such a gracious life to begin.
as i am brought to my bloody post and my head is put in the guillatin, i ask God to forgive me of my sins and closed my eyes take a deep breath.
as i hear it come down with a swoosh, i feel the steel hit the back of my neck and everything goes black.

As the head of my face is now on a post.
Above  yelling of the crowd in a tower with a small window sits the queen knowing from a far she was enjoying it the most.

(2013)

this poem has the meaning behind it, that people are quick to turn on you and judge you to either save themselves or dabble for enjoyement
