I will be free
This day I have been waiting for,
and it is true that I could not ask for anything more.
It is something I did not imagine would happen this year.
There were so many other plans that we had tried to steer.
But even plans you look forward to fail.
Sometimes, it is the people who bail.
But I am happy, and am not sad.
In fact, I am very glad.
Since it all happened, I have been fine,
Even with the knowledge that you are no longer mine.
The decision to leave was made easy for me,
And now, come tomorrow, I will be free.
