Purpose
What is your purpose in life?
What is it that you are going to do with this one gift that you have been given? With the journey of your life?
They tell you to plan it. They tell you to focus. They tell you to become something. Be someone. Help others. Settle down. Meet ‘the one’. Have children. Set an example. Have Grandchildren.
Society has dictated these illusions of what we should be.
Of what should happen and when it should happen.
Of what we should be doing and in what order.
But what happens when those illusions have not gone our way?
What happens when we are not able to study? Get a job? Find the one?
What if we can’t have children? What if 'the one’ decides to leave? What if we are not healthy to get through each day?
There is never any warning about this, and how things don’t always go your way. After you have worked so hard planning towards your perceived end ‘happiness’ result. The 'happiness’ that society has dictated. The illusion.
Suddenly, something that you expected was to happen, or is expected by society and of what you have been raised to expect doesn’t happen.
What do you do? How do you cope now that things aren’t going to plan?
All this time you have spent working towards this happiness? Was it all for nothing?
Everything you did in order to succeed and to get ahead? All of a sudden you have to change your plans? Did you just waste all of your time? Do you even bother to keep going?
Yes. You do keep going. You just have to change your plans and make some new ones.
Now, what is your purpose?
