What’s it mean to be living?
Check your vitals, are you breathing?
What’s it mean to be alive?
Definitions can be so misleading.
Get up in the morning to do the same things,
Subliminally controlled, a puppet without strings.
What’s it mean to be happy?
Are you smiling frequently?
What’s it mean to be content?
Faux joy for decency.
Everything is fine, you tell everyone else
So deluded with a lie, you’ve even convinced yourself.
What’s it mean to be sane?
Are you socially acceptable?
What’s it mean to be normal?
Attitude and actions that are easily perceptible.
Blinded, you’ve lost yourself in the pursuit of acceptance
Your once unique mind now a stranger in your presence.
