Lullabies
You’ve been singing all those lullabies,
To sugar-coat real life,
And you can pull wool over eyes,
But it’ll only make the pain double twice,
All those dreams don’t seem so nigh,
You wish they’d just fall out the sky,
All those dreams in the castle up high,
Heavily guarded with excuses and lies,
But the only way you’ll each those dreams,
Is if you go out to sea,
And have you eyes on the prize,
But what if there is no prize,
Or you just can’t use,
Your eyes?
How many times do you live life?
Only once, so get it right,
Stress and excuses only might,
Get in the way, but use your might,
To fight and come through to the light,
So you can be lifted way up high,
And reach your dreams in the sky,
But you will really have to try,
And fight all the tasks of life,
And maybe you will reach the sky,
One day after all those lies,
Excuses, stress and lullabies,
And bust through clouds and into the light.
You gotta try hard,
Live life,
Don’t waste,
Your time,
Life’s gonna end,
Make the most of every second,
Don’t think,
Too much,
Just have,
Some fun,
Deal with things,
And then move on,
Make the best out of every situation,
Just get on with life and what it brings,
Choose to be happy,
And look on the bright side of things.
