Drowning in Ourselves

Half a century of blurred reality passes.
Rarely even contemplated by one.
Since collectively it’s part of the mass’s.
Congealed by a fate which is imparted by none.

The necessity of singularity is embrace by all,
it is aspired and admired as a collective goal.
Regretfully becoming an imperceivable downfall,
For uniqueness is noise when observed as a whole

These records expire in a fleeting moment,
only the remnants ripple as the sources sink.
This is preservation’s fiercest opponent,
condemning retrospection to slowly shrink .

In the grandeur of the space and time,
foot prints are decimated before the step.
Even collectively we are less than a chime.
Observe the formidable doom we must accept.
