Impact
Listen to the sound drowned by noise.
With life and loneliness it toys
this cosmic mute
Shows all it can impute
Now the evolved people speak
“Knowledge and understanding is what we seek”,
But could it be a futile mission
For what is the scale in which we commission?
This question asked and answered by time
For is it a butterfly that brings a storm to is prime,
Or grandiose nature playing its course
uncaring for detail with little remorse?
Do not dwell on if you’re footprint fades,
because perseverance comes in spades
Just take note of all purpose and meaning
Leaving future generations dreaming.
