Pigeons and Dreams

Cherry Picking

Pigeons and Dreams

Blossoms now pink cherry
Find me watching pigeons
Fluffing wings in gaiety
Pick carry outers’ left-ons.

Pigeon will I be?
As clouds are gathering
Winds of change met me
Cold and biting _
Visions of yesterday
Dreams in disarray.

Ah _ but to have wings!
Fly over the clouds let me
Swirl another fling!
A morrow will then be
Bright cloudless, like pigeons unafraid
Shake stretch my wings, new day warmly braved.
