No Barriers
"Skyscrapers" - refers to migrant workers, in this poem, escaping the poverty of
a harsh life pounding the streets of skyscraper cities to provide basic decent
necessities of life for their families. Dream, their only means, held high to make
this a reality. "Tomorrow" is not a given to them. But like the swallows they
migrate long distances, endure and provide.

over 4 yearsThank you Robert. I visited your page a few times and was amazed at the work you produced and still producing. Prolific is barely and adjective to describe you. And we, humankind, can only benefit. As Jenifer said, "...get those blank pages filled with words uncensored...".

over 4 yearsThank you, Brod. Apparently you made it in NYC.
I had a job interview in mid-Manhattan back in the day right after I accepted a job offer in Washington, DC. After the interview I walked around the block found my self in Hell's Kitchen, down Broadway to Battery Park and back up to and around Central Park. Famished, I consumed a $7 hamburger
combo before a restless time in bed. That was when Time Square had Allied Chemical advert board in the background,
peep shows and burlesque all around Broadway and 7th.

over 4 yearsSuch good comparisons in this poem. Makes me envision their plight, and hard work. One of my favorite things in America is meeting a blend of people from all over. We truly live in a melting pot of cultures. I admire the beauty in every human race.
