still and not seen
heard... a reminder
in the background
at all times
a space
keeping to itself
in many places
in many avatars
in enclosed cases
grandpa’s clock
grandma’s clock
time pieces in the house
dominating in town square towers
In the belfries of the galaxies
in space far far away
where light has not been
may never be
in the bowels of the ninth chamber of fire
in the ocean depths of the eight headed octopuses
where blue smoke spews out from Davy Jones nostrils
in the blessed tranquil parks of our souls home
the space between events
between lightning and thunder
between the budding and the blossoming
a blanket engulfing of the all
sunrise to moonset
point a to point b
constant and variable
time mocking “you are early”
time indifferent “you are late”
time stoic “you’re still here”
time compassionate “rest in peace”
the universal dimension of reality
tags the space of the all
a pealing of the hours
a heralding of birth
a ringing of the death knell
a calling to prayer
a letting go of the all
an embracing of every moment
from first scream to the last word
a space where we can dance in the rain
a space where we can laugh our hearts out
consecrated for us a space in time
