The Shy Girl

Hidden emotions of the quiet, seemingly silent girl

The smart girl, everybody knows will have a future
Nobody knows whats inside her head
How she thinks looking at her body is torture
This “ugly” skin, she wishes she could shed

She closes her eyes at night
She sees her as someone else
The one that shines in the light
what you think, its probably false

You think she’s beautiful
She doesn’t want to eat
How that next meal is dreadful
She’s in a war, she just can’t beat

Her stomach to fat,
Her legs to short
She thinks being skinny, is something she’s not
Even though she has all the support

Her confidence is lacking
And the tears are never ending
With those insults still stacking
Her heart desperate of mending

She needing a angel from above
One that will give her undying love
To guide her through this time
To help her with the never-ending climb
