"I" is poetry
let me tell...
Writing poetry for me is more than just art, it is a metaphor for control. When I feel that the world has become strange and has strayed from its normalities, poetry allows me to find my way back. It pulls me back into my comfort zone. It allows me to express myself, every word that is penned on the paper releases something inside of me and allows me to be free for a moment. It is where time has no measure or bounds, where time is timeless. Poetry feeds my soul with all that is pure and willing, it allows me to transcend beyond what the earthly vessel can see and comprehend. Poetry is for me and for the world so that it understands me well and clear. It is me sharing my personal, vulnerable space to the world, allowing the world to be engulfed by my emotions and words of freedom. Poetry seeks and does deceive. It frees and it teaches. It is every word that sounds like the earth’s own heartbeat. Poetry for me is food for complex thoughts; it is like self-medication that gets rid of inhibitions and self-doubt. Poetry is where color draws no boundaries to the possibilities and where wealth does not define a man.
Poetry is in every son and daughter. It is a slow and yet powerful song that cradles the baby to sleep. Poetry has no limits. Poetry still stays raw and undefined!!!
