Mind
In this state of mind where life turns into something you knew
And being imprisoned behind these walls of hurt, pain and confusion becomes something you know
A mangled heart so incapable of loving and being loved but this maimed heart so willingly to take lashes
In this frame of mind the perfect picture is not one that shows joy, smiles and laughter but one that shows mercy upon it’s doers
Happiness is something that cannot be bought or given but given the opportunity for satisfaction in the mind causes scars to the soul
A soul so old trapped in the body of a witness that witnesses all the corruption in society making dreams so perplex
Each tear being shed adding bricks to a body slowly compressing
Each breathe forcing to escape a mouth that’s been stitched together for so long is starting to strain
Taking that last breathe just to say that you’re sorry
A word that so desperately needed to be heard
With nothing left to do but just lay and fade
That perfect picture in the mind just turning gray
