Pursuits
In all the pursuits she ever indulged living around the world
the one she enjoyed the most was of frequenting the scholarly world
No matter how hard she felt the challenges that studentship entailed
She thrived and developed the best
When totally submerged in texts
In exploring the nitty gritty of subjects of her interest
she found an unquantifiable,
infinite joy and content
she invariably was drawn to the dusty books that lined the shelves
In famous world libraries that she was lucky to frequent
In moving through alleys
interspersed among the shelves
She thought often of times
when she’ll devour all these 'gems’
In study of pure sciences her objective thought developed
In analyzing the world through social sciences
her humanistic practice was perfected
In liberal arts, at last
she found a new passion
In poetry, music and art these days
she’s searching the meaning of life,
with Love and Compassion
