Dream Girl

She was my little nymph
Unaware of it but something I only felt
The love legendary in moments beyond time on Earth
as I close my faithful eyes to find her

I feel awake as my mind pushes my heart through brilliant cosmos
And shimmering words reverberate out in colorful tones
Shifting and shaping me away, so very away
to the wonderful abyss of mystical wilderness where she and I chose to stay

If I may so kindly suggest
that we undress the past and float in excess
And I confess I prefer her over here where I can steer
away the phantoms that haunted me in yesteryear

But morning wakes my eyes to the truthful blinding light
as I realize she was never here nor ever did exist
And this day and every day I’ll forget or I might
shake and tremble forever with the memory of a bliss I longingly miss
