Strength of the mighty ocean
couldn’t calm existence the pressures
nor violence by which we all measure.
Sometimes the only definition of men.
Like crossing the Rubicon,
or stroking through the river Delaware.
Promise to glory became mighty and fair.
Soldiers become brothers bond.
Letter back home.
Letter reminded you were alone.
Out of shadows, tribal parties shown.
Memories became re-known.
Us or them? Only bullets can fix.
Morality becomes a bit muddy,
So take a trip down to river Styx.
By water we were baptized bloody.
