As I sat on that dark misty cliff,
and felt the tips of the ocean below caress
lightly on my face, in comfort or ecstasy I am lift
by that sun burst into the world with beauty address’d

The sea beneath my dangling feet roared in response,
a child happy at a parent’s return.
To stay forevermore, a daily selfish promise.
As a day toils away, suns in evening skies become night’s lantern.
