taste of fruit

as it’s moisture fills the cracks of
my lips, and i slowly draw my hand
from my hips to appeal to it
the bliss of the pure essence
delivered from such a small burst
sent straight from the gods
stimulates the radiance’s thirst
and even before swallowing
like a knot in your throat
as if trying to exhale
you know your going to bloat
from the fumes coming out of your nose
the bottle of shame knocked over
the guilt crunching your abdomen
makes you reach for your toes
trying to place it back on the vine
as you hear him drawing near
crumbled in anguish at his feet
if only he will hear

response after reading -
