Away

A line is drawn of bubbling red,
Not one thing was thought,
Not one thing was said.

A dripping trail,
A quickening drip,
Things could have gone wrong,
With one little slip.

A broken heart,
A shattered mind,
Close your eyes,
Leave hurt behind.

Jackets and jeans,
Wear nothing short,
Keep hidden well,
But be a good sport.

Dont let them be seen,
Hidden they must stay,
Behind the scenes,
Stashed away.

Where no one will guess,
And no one will think.
Wash away the evidence,
Clean out the sink.

Put away the tools,
Wipe away your tears,
The pain will die down,
After many years.

Always look out,
Always stay safe,
Let them be seen,
And they’ll take you away.
