I'm a highly intelligent, articulate and well-educated human being with an intuitive but enterprising sense of responsibility and a strong moral compass that instinctively demarcates what's right and wrong. Trust, confidentiality and having the courage, regardless of what I do, to formulate and stand by my own personal convictions are key aspects of my life and, unsurprisingly, are also principal characteristics I attach great importance to and naturally expect from those who want to play a meaningful role in my life. I don't suffer fools gladly, in fact not at all and most definitely haven’t got any interest in or time for egotists, time-wasters, attention seekers or the narcissistic. Furthermore, I’m an adult and in my private and professional lives prefer to deal with genuine adults, so anyone who wants to act childishly and thinks they can have any kind of relationship with me, then you’re wrong! And my advice to you in that regard is to go and enrol in a kindergarten as you'll possibly have better luck there. Born and raised in the subs of Dublin city, Ireland. I'm a 30year old tarot reader witch bitch. Muggle job is an animal care assistant. I wrote under a ghost name (alexis faye) as frankly I love poetry mine isn't viewed by anyone so i wanted to share it, and got the courage to do so when I stopped relying on other people and started to carve my own path. I write mostly depression riddled poetry. Some are about my past including being sexual assaulted, abuse at the hands of several exs and alot of my poems are actually based around my ex fiance who is actually in jail for murder. My life isnt what I wanted but I'm here now sure.
Love is the essence of pure thought. There is nowhere that this thought is not. I grew up in a small town in Oklahoma, just beyond the outskirts of several gypsum plateaus, miles of desert sand and vast horizons. I would go out into fields of sunflowers with my pen and paper, watching the currents of wind moving through miles and miles of wheat to write about the lucid imagery I would see when I closed my eyes, the experiences of coming out in a conservative community and finding my way as an artist in a place that did not nurture the arts. Words have always been my primary way to sort out my experiences into streams of consciousness that act as a form of self-discovery. Called by the overwhelming pull to follow my dreams, I relocated to the Catskills to follow my passions and put every idea into motion. I am currently working on several video projects, performances in several venues, live music, Sparkle Poetic radio ads, and many new things that you can keep up with on my website below. Welcome to the realm of words. Love is real. www.sparklepoetics.com

There are much better writers than I Who have written of love, God and philosophy Not much that I can add But my unique life experiences I will stick to what I know and feel In hopes my written word can reach places that I have not Relying more on natural simplicity than technique and form Check out my work at: www.amazon.com/Laura-Alaniz
“Who am I? I'm a poet. What do I do? I write. And how do I live? I live.” –Rodolpho, in Puccini's La Bohème Before Passion Becomes Philosophy Such Beauty Such Fair Beauty That We Should Know In Them And Call Them Ours… The Rose, Symbol of Passion. The embodiment of life. Its scent enchanting... Its petals enticing... In each silky-smooth... fragile fold... Images of past, present, and future Are suggestively rendered And ready to be found. The Rose, Symbol of Philosophy The representation of opposites. A source of profound beauty And at the same time, If one fails to grasp it properly, A source of prolific pain And resonant regret. This Blog is dedicated to the Passion of Life Before the Philosophy of tomorrow gives it Its meaning. The yearnings... the longings... The desirous aching found Within each unrestricted beat Of a man's heart. This is my story and these are my songs Now and for all time WELCOME TO THE PLAYGROUND OF MY MIND…
I am very passionate about writing especially poetry because it speaks to my soul. I'm looking forward to become a professional writer someday and get published. I want to share my writing talent worldwide and I won't stop until I do. While I'm here at "Poeticous". I would like to receive honest feedback on my writings, but I can see people don't comment, they only view. What's the point of people sharing their poetry? if no one is willing to read or comment. They may like it but refuse to press the "like" button....Just keeping it real.
The Story of Me The Abridged “Cliff Notes” Version Enter, Stage Right Not much to tell So this will be quick Nothing special happened Though many memorable moments I was born smart More clever than most But sadly, I did not apply My mind to its full potential I’ve fallen in love And then out of love Once, twice, maybe thrice And now, fallen in love once more I led a quiet life Never been famous Never been filthy rich Done nothing exceptional Children I raised Fine, grown up now I’m glad they’re not like me They’ll realize all of their dreams Others, I help Whenever I could I try to pay it forward Hoping to get it on the flipside Some I’ve rubbed The wrong way, and so I hope they will forgive me Before I leave starship Earth The story of me Quite long in years Short on accomplishments A busload of pleasant memories Exit, stage left The End. Hello, stranger. I’m not a professional by any means. I’m just a guy with anxiety, PTSD, and oftentimes crippling depression and OCD. I have self worth issues and have done and seen terrible things, and writing here gives me a much needed resource for self care. You can probably follow the ups and downs of my life for the past few years by going through these poems. Suffice it to say that even when it seems like I’m at the end of a literal rope, I’m rising above my own hell, and I hope someone reads these and somehow feels more empowered, or at least encouraged, to fight back against the unfairness of the world. You’re better than you think you are, and you deserve more than what’s given to you. And for those who follow me and never see any attention from me personally, don’t worry, it keeps me up at night. It’s an OCD thing. I’m not often feeling well enough to venture out to soak up new content, and I apologize. I’m working on it. Regardless of that one-sidedness, I’m up past 60000 visits to my page, and I want to take the time to thank those who follow me directly, as well as those who view my poems in passing. It does not go undetected or unappreciated, truly. Thank you for your support. I hope you all find whatever you’re looking for.
I am a 25-year-old Christian. Some of my favorite bands that I've drawn inspiration from include Demon Hunter, Skillet, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, All That Remains, War of Ages, etc. I write songs/lyrical poems, which I have been writing since I was 12 years old. A lot of my lyrics are based on life views and experiences, as well as struggles regarding my Christian faith. I am not ashamed and I will not shy away from admitting to my faith. I hope that my lyrics might open up solutions to readers that can relate to my lyrics. Thank you and God bless.
