the journey begins
wherever we may be…
the train won’t leave,
unless we say so,
for the future
won’t unfold before us
if we don’t take
the first step, and let go!

“I don't wanna write that down, but I don't wanna keep it in my head either.” ~Andrea Gibson
An English teen who enjoys writing poetry.
I find the mind has less to grasp with its sticky fingers if words flee quickly and rarely linger.
Therapeutic for a scatterbrain, with the Mad Hatter slain, we can easily refrain from our over thought doubts, take a ride from melancholy bouts.
Happily married with three children . I'm gainfully employed with a pharmaceutical company in the manufacturing of antibiotics.
I was born in 1946 and started writing poetry when about 16 years old. In the 1970's I occasionally had poems published in a local newspaper while living in Delaware (belated thanks to editor E.A.Barrell!) and more recently (I offer no explanation for the hiatus other than "life in the way") have been posting poems and short essays at the Weather Underground blog site under the name "EarlB".
Changes at that site are making my posts less visible, so I have begun transferring poems posted there over the past 6 years to this site. Because of the science/nature emphasis of the website, my poems over the past years have had a loose "nature" theme to them.
Eventually, I hope to accumulate enough decent poems (and courage) to publish a small book of poems.
Having them scrutinized by others in the field will help me improve technique.

I am a woman of many stories. A life comprised of loss, love, hatred, failure, accomplishments, and faith. There is a light beyond any darkness. Poetry has been my only true friend at times. Self-expression is both therapeutic and cathartic for me. Many resolutions and paths have been made clear through writing.
I have been writing for as long as I can remember. I hope to publish my first book early 2014!
I'll let my writing tell you who and what I am.
I started writing poetry at a young age, I express my feelings by writing my thoughts. I hope you enjoy, and can relate to my poems.
