He admired the stars

He dreamt of them every night

He heard stories of stars

Drawing maps in the skies

for heroes to follow

He decided to see the stars

himself

He searched every corner

of  the world for them

He asked the sky if he had seen them

He said “You just missed them”

He asked the mountains

if they had seen them

They said, “you just missed them”

He asked the sea if she had seen the stars,

and she said “You just missed them”

He left, continuing his search for the stars forever

never realizing that,

He was the brightest star of all
