God Bless the Army.

Leaving behind, the kids and the family
He enrolls himself to join the army
To protect and to safeguard, the country,
Both from domestic and, foreign enemy.

Life may be tough, but he’s sworn to serve,
Come what may, he has the nerve
To chase the threats, and keep them at bay
And maybe kill them too, if they’re not running away.

Up and down, in seas and on land
Whether it be the desert sand
He is always marching on and on
Making sure the threats are gone.

He’s being trained to ignore hunger, weathers and pains
He has to keeps going whether it sun shines or rains.
He scours and patrols the breadth of the nation,
Safeguard and protect the country, from any invasion.

Sometimes, he has to fight wars far away, in a distant land
Fighting enemies, on sea and on air, and maybe even on a desert sand.
Though, his family waits for his safe return
But many a times, a mother has to lose a son.

To serve and protect the nation, it’s a choice you’ve made
Choosing a tougher life, over the easier instead,
May the Almighty protect you, from all harm’s way
Safety and protection for you, we shall always pray.

Your deeds shall have a, place in history
And your name shall fly high, on everyone’s memory
The country shall be in debt of your contribution
The sacrifices you have made, for our nation.
