Can you see
See the glimmer of pain
That shimmers deep
See my tears in the rain

My life means less
Than the fake smile
I show when you think I’m at my best

Did you ever think
That you’re the reason I’m still here
My hearts still beating
My wrists aren’t bleeding
And I am still here

For you I smile
For you I try
To feel anything
Anything to make me keep breathing

But you don’t even know
That this dark shadow threatens
To swallow me whole

Why can’t you see
How much love for you
Is just dying to break free

Love, depression
