Aimless Rambler

You say you want to ramble
because you’ve never rambled before.
You want to take a gamble
as if it would cure the bore.
But I’m telling you now
you don’t know what you’re wishing for.
That by doing this you’re taking a vow
to always have one foot in, and one foot out, the door.
To be a true rambler you can’t believe in fate.
And you can’t be afraid to be alone.
Ramblin is a choice at first, but it turns into a trait.
You’ll be thrown to the wind, aimless you will roam.
You’ll get an itch that doesn’t go away by a scratch.
It’s like an addiction that you can not recover from.
To people you’ll always be mostly detached.
You can find a house but you’ll never have a home.
