My Christian conscious
won’t let me release
my possessive thoughts
and wicked impulses.
God is the beginning and the end
and is all knowing
yet he gives us free will
even though he knows what we will do.
So is it really our choice?
The serpent beguiled Eve
and she ate the fruit
and so women are demeaned
and we are inferior.
But if the serpent had beguiled Adam
would men have been inferior?
And if Adam really was in charge
then why did Eve receive so much more blame
and punishment?
Lord God I cannot do what you want as a woman,
you should have made me a man.
Because I will not submit to any one of these
boys who call themselves men,
who seek only to get inside my pants.
And I will not dumb myself down
to let any man make the wrong decision for me.
Mr.
Mrs. Ms. Miss.
Woman are defined by their relationship to a man.
If she has one, if she had one and lost one,
or if she never had one at all.
We are supposed to get one and keep one
all while remaining virtuous.
While men are allowed to have all of us
before settling on one of us.
Why Lord did you mean for it to be this way?
Please Jesus help my unbelief!
But Eve was created last
because Adam was lonely
and I guess he was bored.
She was made from Adam’s rib,
so together does that make them whole?
Or did she only subtract from Adam?
Before the fall
God>Man>Woman
After the fall
Woman>Man>God
Because now we are born from our mothers
in sin
and we spend our lives trying to get back to God.
