I couldn’t imagine,
what life could’ve been
if I would be able
to experience your grin.

Taking my time,
taking it slow.
I only know what I know.

Everything seems different now,
I don’t even understand how.

Particles changing,
life rearranging,
you’re just a concept to me.

In between numbers,
in between dates.
I only remember the things
that I hate.

Take me back, to a simpler time.
Where all I did, was count your dimes.
Rusty pennies, from years ago.
Now they’re extinct & you don’t even know.
That there was a time before this one.
That there will be, a time after the next.
You’re next.
