I open my eyes to a new day,
a not so “blue” day.
The sky is grey day but,
I’m feeling blue today.

I keep running towards,
the things with no rewards.
I  swallowed a sword,
of the spoken word.

Dragging on to save time,
my life is on a rewind.
Before I borrowed time,
to save what was mine.

What a paradox,
of empty thoughts.
A treasure box,
of untangled knots.

I look at you,
I see right through.
Empty thoughts,
emotionless robots.

I live the day, only to say..
“I’ve closed my eyes,
for it to replay.”

You look at me,
I look away,
It’s all just a dream -
yet we are here to stay.
