To Those of Us Who Live In Pain
When pain rules your mind, it loses it stride,
You scream in anguish, your spirit it hides.
Your heart cries, and your soul bleeds,
Pain runs your life, it continues to feed.
The torment never ends, your life a living hell,
You fight, you whimper, how many tears fell?
The mind grows weak, it starts to waver,
Thoughts of death it may begin to savor.
When you fear this day, you may not see through,
Think of me as I will think of you.
We face this together, no challenge to great,
Fighting with you till the pain it abates.
This battle we won, till the next bend.
Tomorrow we fight, for pain never ends.
It will plague you, hound you, it may never cease,
But we will fight each day, till life gives release.
