A Prelude to Love
I can see your dancing eyes
They tell me about the passion of life
They are forever deep and mysterious
Beautiful, perilous, like the
Wayward journey of the wind
They tell me stories of many words
Kept silent with awe, my love
Your silence that dwells in your spirit
Is a wild river that
Surges through my body
My heart is a thunderstorm
As your touch is soft as silk
It is a symphony of quiet strings
In perfect harmony with
A Skylark’s song
They echo through the glen
Like trumpets sounding
Fanfares of valor for my
Spirit is strengthened by your touch
My heart tells me, my love
This is the prelude to love
