Breakaway

Breakaway me lad, to places unknown,
Out there where the wilds call for you.
Let your words wander like a lazy cloud,
With an easy drifting through the idle air.

Words are words in need of dressing up
In flamboyant suits and floating shoes.
The sky’s the limit and beyond thereafter.
Poetry is infinity that needs a name.

Empty spaces are flowing naked in need
Of colors and spices and flavor and pizzazz.
Young man with your busy head in the clouds,
Break away from your shackles and inhibitions.
Go take that first step into the unknown,
And let your words fly
Like the emancipated wind.
