Fortissimo Pounding

Oceans swell and music oscillates
as nature rhymes in the rolling.
Glassy waters sit atop the motion
as eternal engines pump the seas.
Dolphins play in their quiet playground
as the fair wind blows supple kisses.
Violins murmur a soft lullaby
as the music lounges on pillows.
Tympanis fall fast asleep
as the lazy day drifts on and on.

The still winds begin their stirring
as the tempest begins to yawn.
Violins open their eyes and look around
as the wind turns up the volume.
The lazy waters get off their soft pillows
as the winds start shouting in their ears.
The horns climb on the highest wave
to sound the arrival of the tempest.

Tympanis jump out of their skin
as the tempest shakes their mallets.
Cymbals bring out the lightning
as the clashing riles up the clouds.
Piccolos start screaming
as the waves start their churning.
The murmuring seas start yelling
as the volume swells to a fortissimo.
The waves start climbing to the sky
as the engines push them high and higher.
The guts of the orchestra spill out
as the intensity pushes them back in.
The road to the climax is paved with thorns
as the waves bite into the fragile nerves.
The Gods of sound go back into hiding
as the volume increases
to a deafening fortissimo
as the universe explodes
into a million pieces,
and the madness spawns
the impending Apocalypse.
