Holidays Alone

Holidays Alone

When friends and family all assemble
In congenial homes around the table,
Sharing stories and laughing together,
Talking about all the best times ever,

There are some who are out there all alone
Without any friends, who live life on their own.
Some who forgot what life they left behind,
And some with a bit of sadness in their mind.

There are some in defiance of holiday festivities,
Who would rather walk the streets in the cities,
But deep down in their cold empty hearts,
Sharing is the sum of all their parts,
Of their true desires and of their needs.
