Norm

Our man Norm,
The man in the middle
Who wears size medium,
Taller than the shortest
And fatter than the slimmest,
Smarter than the dumbest
And more handsome than the ugliest,
Shorter than a giant,
But who can’t reach the
Top shelf,
Who can’t quote Shakespeare,
But can tie his shoes,
Who hates poetry
But loves the morning paper,
Who keeps away from extremists
And keeps his mouth shut,
Who won’t look out the window
When the snow is piling up,
Who sits in the middle
Of a rocky ship
And lives in a rubber room.

Good ole’ Norm,
Our candidate
To keep “mainstream” rolling.
